Amazingly the cherry tomato plant is still ripening some tomatoes,
although very slowly.

I thought ripening stopped when the temperature fell, but I can see at
least a couple more changing colour.

The plant is still flowering but I have no idea if it is setting any more
fruit.

I assume that the first prolonged spell of sub-zero temperatures will
finish it off, but so far it is hanging on.

Cheers

I'd save a few seeds of it, who knows you may have a more hardy strain there

It is a "volunteer" from last year.

It is also tucked under cover in the corner of a south facing veranda so
it gets what sun there is and also gets frost protection.

I've had cherry tomatoes fruiting and ripening into December before, but
not often.

I also had some tomatoes in a patch which had volunteers for several years
running, but blight finished them off eventually.

I may try saving some seed (or just let a couple of tomatoes "mature" in
the other pots sharing the shelter).

Cheers
