Safari has the habit of popping you back to the start of your search
when you back out of one of the results (either by swiping or clicking
the left arrow), meaning you have to scroll down again each time. This
drives me bonkers. Any way around it?

Yes it's a PITA. I often switch to a different iOS browser when doing a
search. From a brief look on the ASC, it seems to be regarded as a feature
by the experts rather than a bug!

A feature?!? Bloody hell. I’ll take a look in there - though if that’s the
case I don’t hold out much hope for my blood pressure.

I've noticed this issue for ages and I guess just accepted that's how is it
was meant to be. However it's not consistence with Safari's behaviour on
macOS and other browsers too. It's definitely something Apple should address.

Funny you should mention that... I was just looking for a Caol Ila last
night. Haven't had it in a (good!) while and wondered if the one I used
to love was still available. 25 yr old cask strength... Had a kick like
a mule. Looks like it was some sort of 'limited edition' though. Think
the last time I bought a bottle was about 25 years ago...

Cask strength whiskies tend be limited by definition. You can find a
"normal" 25yo, but you'll need deep pockets :-o

My usual 12 yo Caol Ila is really hard to find at the moment; ended up
finding one in duty free abroad earlier this year.

I was given a bottle of the Lakes Distillery Reflections whisky last
Christmas. Apparently it costs £85 a bottle and is 54% by vol. I’ve tasted
better whisky but it had quite a kick and I didn’t have to pay for it!
