Convicted by a French court of assault on his French girlfriend, when
the only evidence seems to have been their conflicting claims of what
occurred, with no third party evidence at all. (All IIRC and based on
what I read in the press.)

A girlfriend who later told a friend that she slipped and hit her face
on a marble floor, and offered to withdraw the allegation if he paid her
£150k. The marble floor details were revealed by a Daily Telegraph
investigation - a paper that he contibutes to. Margaret Moore has
appeared in court several times in cases related to her businesses.
One judge, making a bankruptcy order against her noted 'a deliberate
lack of truthfullness'.
