Cool video of a crew in the US using a naturally aspirated 397 cubic
inch Chev R07 engine to make 955hp on the dyno at 8500rpm.

Very impressive output. It's also interesting to observe the 30hp
difference between single and dual carb operation :)

Impressive race engine but I think that it would be next to undriveable
in a street car.
Hate to think what it cost.

Yeah, I imagine it was a motza, but still almost 2.5hp per cubic inch
out of a normally aspirated engine is fucking impressive. Be interesting
to see if it actually would crack the "grand" with a couple of
Dominators on it.

It sure as shit wouldn't make the mark with the theroetical maximum
sized carb, that's for sure :)

How stupid is the Dunning-Kruger poster child though?

To think he claims he used to build engines... fark.

OK heckle and jeckle, what is wrong (according to you pair of (insert
expletive here.) with this:
Impressive race engine but I think that it
would be next to undriveable in a street car.
Hate to think what it cost.

Yeah, I imagine it was a motza, but still almost 2.5hp per cubic inch
out of a normally aspirated engine is fucking impressive. Be interesting
to see if it actually would crack the "grand" with a couple of
Dominators on it.

It sure as shit wouldn't make the mark with the theroetical maximum
sized carb, that's for sure 😄

Where are the *errors*.??...

In trying to compare a Chev RO7 engine that was *designed* from the
ground up for racing with an old Chev 350 engine with a *supposedly*
kludged Ford 4V head on it is like trying to compare chalk and cheese.

https://www.racecar-engineering.com/articles/chevrolet-r07/

All the latest computer aided design *from the GM factory*, contemporary
materials and technology, tailored for Nascar and dragracing, well, you
would expect it to do well. It can rev more, for a start. That in and of
itself bumps up horsepower. In it's standard form, that engine flows
near enough to 1000 CFM at 100% VE and at 8500 RPM. If you assume the VE
is more like 110-115%, then you're looking at 1100+ CFM. That is the
*absolute maximum* that engine will flow. As I explained previously, you
can, with 8 barrels, raise the carb flow capacity with *tunnel ram
manifolds* but - important point - you aren't flowing any more air. All
you are doing is flowing it *differently* and using pulses at the
boosters to overcome the reduction in vacuum and so flowing sufficient
fuel. It's all perfectly explainable by the maths.

As I stated previously, if Darren had a clue what was going on here, he
would have been able to explain it all and *school me* on the science
and technology. As it is, he's the one who's been schooled - you too!
Doesn't that embarrass you?

Just resorting to any kind of ridiculous bullshit to try to deflect the
obvious fact that they couldn't be any more wrong if they wanted to be,
but then that's what they get for trying to be resident experts based on
zero experience.

Between the pair of them they couldn't hold a job in a lawn mower repair

Ah Darren, you're back to those desperate tactics! Always the case when
you don't have the knowledge and experience you *profess* to have and
get proven wrong.
>
> Between the pair of them they couldn't hold a job in a lawn mower repair

It goes back to your *original* bullshit story, Darren - a Ford 4V head
on a Chev block pumping out 600 horsepower. I called you out on your
bullshit then and since. I gave you chapter and verse on why it wouldn't
do *what you claimed* it had done. All you have done since is pop up a
few pics and videos - none of which explains why *your example* worked
as you claimed. You didn't even attempt to explain why your bullshit
story might have had any credibility. All you've done since is divert
and obfuscate. Even this current example has failed to achieve anything.
It shows a completely different *contemporary* engine that is designed
purely for *performance and racing*. As I noted in previous
explanations, that carb setup and manifolding alone do not lend
themselves to street use. But they aren't working with the *flow
limitations* of a Ford 4V head.

So how about some *real and tangible proof* of your fanciful and
grandiose claims Darren. Maybe pics of your claimed 4V heads on an SBC
block. Pics of someone else doing it maybe? Well, no, that won't happen
because no one else has bothered. Have a look at the *differences*
between 4V heads and the standard SBC head - nah, you aren't getting
that swap happening, not even in your wildest dreams. And it appears you
have wild dreams. Pity you can't differentiate between your dreams and
reality.

In actual fact it highlights that you have absolutely no idea - at all -
and you don't even no why! Your village idiot is clueless but that is to
be expected.

No wonder you couldn't even identify blower components correctly -
you're all talk and no walk.

UH-HUH. That so windscreen boi?, you, (the old sheila that runs away

Heh. Well I've held down multiple jobs as a qualified and licensed
mechanic/auto electrician for decades where qualifications and licensing
and competence were a job requirement. He's done jack shit.

He's never held down a job as a qualified mechanic and he's clearly
never walked the walk. Changing oil on family cars in a back shed is the
extent of his experience. The results of his delusions are plain to
see... cars placed dangerously and recklessly on the hoist, a "race"
engine that flew to bits that he blamed on someone else. No idea how a
brake proportioning valve works or why they were fitted to millions of
vehicles. Not knowing his own Jeep was largely metric and that the US
car industry had been metricating the automotive industry since the
70's, wrongly identified blower components, his absurd theory on why the
wheels straighten on FWD vehicles, inability to understand calculate CFM
and dismiss it as bullshit even though all race engine builders use it
.... it just goes on and on and on.

The noise he makes has only served to disprove without doubt that he has
never completed an apprenticeship and/or worked in the trade.

Always amusing being told that you "have absolutely no idea" from the
fucking moron who's claim to fame was (allegedly) wiring up a set of
driving lights, who thought that the plastic laminate used in windscreen
manufacture was on the *outside* of the glass, who claimed that window
tint kept car interiors "up to 6 degrees cooler" (I *still* laugh at
that one :) and who thought he could retrim the interior of his ex taxi
shitfighter using his wife's Aldi sewing machine :)

The bloke continually demonstrates how clueless he is at every
opportunity. Those licensing standards in WA must sure as shit be pretty
easy :)

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with any of it, but that fact is
completely irrelevant as it's been a *very* long time indeed since this
mental defect had any legitimate interest in "right or wrong". He exists
in this group today for *no* reason other than to be yappy little
serialpest that few people would give the time of day, and it's
interesting to note that the bloke who once ridiculously beat his chest
about being the "voice of reason" and the upholder of the truth has been
relegated to the appalling role of "support act" to the biggest bullshit
artist this group has ever known.

The man he himself investigated over his incessant bullshit claims, who
he *now* goes out of his way to support his every word.

Calling that "Pathetic" doesn't do it justice. It is far and away the
most profoundly embarrassing act of self immolation I've seen around
here in over 20 years of being a regular, and it couldn't happen to a
more *thoroughly* deserving candidate :)

Yes, easy, *if* you are a *qualified mechanic*. Damnably hard if you're
not. In WA you wouldn't have a snowflake's chance in hell of being
allowed to work in the motor trade - and that can only be a good thing.

The only person here doing any self immolation is you. You just keep
proving time and time again that you have never, not as long as your
arse points down, ever had any formal training as a mechanic. All you do
is *wing it* - and it shows. Les' engine was the classic example of that!

Ditto and those jobs I held in mining you don't even get a look in if
you aren't both qualified and experienced. One of the jobs I was
successful in getting involved psychometric testing - in the 70s! A
narcissistic sociopath like Darren would have had no hope of ever
passing those tests! ;-)

You notice how his *explanations* of how things work (in his world)
consist only of links to vids, pics and even textual information, often
actually contradictory. He couldn't explain what was going on. That's
par for the course when you've never had the training nor any *real
experience*.

He has proved one thing - that he's a bullshit artist! Proved in spades!

Nothing astonishes Noddy so much as common sense and plain dealing.

You have that all sewn up champ. Your only ally is the bloke you called
the 'village idiot'. Not exactly helping your situation now is it son?

Not so easy that you could pass the grade.

blah blah blah just more repetitive bullshit.

I'm no different to every mechanic, engineer or other smart bastard you
have denigrated over the last 20-oddyears after you had your arse handed
to you by them - and time and time again.

Your bullshit doesn't fly and never has. Your whole life is a great big
lie which is why you're now wholly dependent on the bloke you called the
'village idiot' for support.

Now *that* is self-immolation.

He would be profoundly embarrassed with his carry-on if he actually
understood any of it. But he doesn't and he never will which is why it
makes him the perfect Dunning-Kruger poster child.

100% proven. Only a 'village idiot' on the way to pickling his last
remaining brain stem cells would be sucked in by his bullshit.
