Oz have plenty of subs, but England dont have any quality left. I mean
if they had a suitable sub for Root, hed have played already.

There may be a major rethink on the tour, as Sydney is hit by a new
wave of cases. Perhaps no spectators? However here still crowds
at footy matches as cases reach 189k per day.

Ireland's USA tour has been cut short because of covid. Stirling and
Getkate have to isolate and travel on the 9th while the rest of the
squad join the U19 for the Ireland tour of WI. A few other Ireland
players have completed their isolation and can travel 31st.
Nobody is actually sick, just tested positive.

I just dont understand what is going on with Covid. Basically we have put up the white flag and are just basically just waiting for 100% infection rate . Omicron is still deadly and can make you as sick as a dog ( over a week for me and still off color ) but the chances of it killing you is low. I think they just dont want 100% spread in a short period of time which would result in hospitals been in trouble.

Presumably being in isolation won't prevent Silverwood from consulting
with Root via phone or that newfangled Internet thingy, and the two of
them I imagine will select the side. I don't know what - if any - say

Even though Sydney traditionally used to help spinners, I'm not sure if
it still does. But in any case I can't see England selecting two

I would say that's a much smaller problem. It may be hard deciding which
good players to leave out, but it's much worse having to decide which
poor players (or at least players lacking in form and confidence) to
bring in.

I had to go and get a refill at the chemist and they just had a supply of RAT's come in. They were charging $30 for 2 tests and whilst waiting for my script about 10 people come in and purchased them. I was going to get one but it would be a case of the horse well and truly bolted down the road. Look, the Poms have that weirdo that wears a blond wig but I would take him over our boofhead any day.

the level of transmissions is so much higher elsewhere, 1 million pd in USA, 150k + in france and uk,
i expect a new variant any day.

And seeing the indian tour was cancelled after 2 coaches tested + [although other
reasons were suspected], and england have 4 of theirs +, and oz 1 of the players,
its slightly surprising the series is still on.
