Pusey sentenced to 10 months prison - effectively time already served.

Why wasn't he granted bail initially? All he did was record himself
saying some crazy stuff at the scene of an accident. Why was he
sentenced to jail time for what he did?

Just goes to show, you don't want to get on the wrong side of the police
force.

I don't know why he pleaded guilty to an offence that may not even exist
in Australia.

Plod has paid this one well, just before time served is up,they bring out
the other charges they have previously considered. Fsck him, he is an
arsehole. his behaviour created the set up and he went out of his way to
make an arsehole of himself. Apparently he as a record of similar driving
behaviour, so like the "
sovereign citizen" nutters. I'm happy for plod to keep hm locked up.

Victoria. A very strange law imho because it seems open to so much
interpretation.

Is it better to have a mixture of common law and criminal code for
criminal law like there is in Vic and NSW, or is it better to have
purely a criminal code (no common law) like in Qld and WA?

IMO its better to not have common law, essentially because
its far too weird and unspecific with the weirder bits of it.
And who cares what some silly senile old parasite decided
centurys ago, what matters is what makes sense law wise today.

Corse the contra argument is that it can take the legislature
far too long to bin what is obsolete black letter law.
