We had a thread recently about poison Gas in WWII. I read today of a giant
rail accident in Ohio which allowed unhealthy stuff (phosgene, etc) to escape.

I don't recall now, but they usually tend to be in train wrecks over there.
I'm not convinced their tanks ar as well tested as ours, but having said
that, who really knows what is being trucked around the roads and railways
here? Often you only find out after the accident.

The main Dublin-Cork line runs about two miles East of here, and in the coal
days one could smell the coal smoke. That line issplit further south of here,
and finishes up In Westport, and further in that direction. As some sort of
tax thing, a Japanese company set up in that area, and shipped its stuff by rail.

I was told later that if there was an accident, everyone west of the rail line
would have been gassed by the noxious materials. That has all long been finished.

I think about 20 rail cars wrecked in ohio. Rail is generally safer, butv not
absolutely so.
