Does anyone know exactly why these two were chosen for the tin cup?

Richie only played 4 Tests v Pak and Qadir had a pretty average average
against Oz (35.9).

There's were much better options.
Like the Hilditch-Sarfraz? Or the Lillee-Miandad?

It sounds as though whoever came up with the name was obsessed by
leg-spinners and, pre-Warne and Mushtaq Ahmed, these were arguably the
most distinguished on either side to have played in Australia-Pakistan
Tests,

Rambling on... I wonder if anyone's ever knocked back having their name as
a trophy?

Oh btw sportsfans... Having just conversed with Rodney U for the first time
in years, I happened into YouTube to discover that he's colourised Bradmans
last Test innings. There's a coincidence.

Wondering what the Zimb v Bangles trophy is called.

True. (And as a number of people have pointed out, the Constantine
Trophy would have been a much more fitting name.)

yes: Constantine Trophy would have been perfect, if
less 'accessible'
