I saw a video clip on the Robelinda channel on youtube of NZ vs England
in the early 80s which showed Richard Hadlee bowling fast left arm, with
pretty much a left arm version of his normal right arm action. I can't
remember seeing this at the time. Fred Trueman was reputed to be a
decent slow left arm bowler, but I never saw this either.

There are mirrored videos on there, unless Botham suddenly became a left handed batsman too ;-)

In the late 1920s Leslie O'Brian Fleettwood Smith was bowling right arm medium pace in Australian grade cricket.

A few years later he was bowling left arm wrist spin in the Sheffield Shield.

In 1934 he made his debut bowling left arm wrist spin .

He died aged around 70 having been living as a tramp for years.

It's hard to imagine his doing that in an international match, unless
perhaps in a Test that was drifting to a draw and he unveiled it as his
party piece. Could the film clip have somehow been left-right
transposed? I suppose the fact that he batted left-handed makes the
possibility of his being slightly ambidextrous more likely.
