Patience, dear heart!

I grow old, I grow old, I may miss one or two. I am actively
investigating the possibility of a simple bash script to identify BTNs
as they arrive. Now. what should I do about the peach juice that's
making tats in my hair?

(I was a lithe late-30s when I first entered umra. I'll be 70 later this
year. What happened?)

If it's any help to you, this message is coming to you from:
<https://www.novabbs.com/aus+uk/thread.php?group=uk.media.radio.archers>
a web interface for usenet that will still be here when GoogleGroups
stops working in Feb.

It has a search facility. Although I'm still trying to master it with
sufficient skill to pull up the answers I actually want, it might be one
way of filtering BT nominations?

I've never eaten quinces, or noticed them for sale. The only reason I
know of their existence prior to this discussion is the activities of an
owl and a cat.

Your description of 'bushes' suggest you are talking about Chaenomeles, the
fake quince shrub. It has pretty flowers, followed by small yellow fruit
which smell (and apparently taste) like quince.

We had a tree which bore large yellow knobbly pear-shaped fruit. My mother
made quince cheese from them. I think this is the equivalent of a
time-consuming boiled down jam I once made with a glut of plums. Highly
concentrated, you can cut it into cubes, rolled in sugar, to serve. Not
worth the effort IMHO.

Quince has a weirdly dry flavour. I've never seen it on sale in the shops.

First of all I'd like to thank Nick for the nomination. I'd then like to
thank the Academy (and all who sail on her) for accepting it and giving
me this opportunity to practice my speech making. I'd also like to thank
my ... What? There's 15 pages to go. Then I burst into tears and hug a

But just about anything is cooked and rarely seems to need the air fryer.

The French do this, it's called cotignac. A bit like a cross between
Rowntrees fruit pastilles and turkish delight. What is much nicer, less
fuss to make, and nothing like as sweet as Spanish membrillo or English
quince cheese, which I make with quite a lot of lemon as well as some
sugar, and which is fabulous with hard cheese - the Spanish eat it with
manchego, but it's just as piquant with something like a Lincolnshire
Poacher. Properly processed, quince has an absolutely glorious flavour,
aromatic and warm.
