No - the one that finished yesterday at Bristol was higher (87.17 per
wicket vs 82.50) for a start: Surrey 603, Gloucs 443/2.

The ACS has a FC list that includes 19 county matches (probably all CC,
but I haven't checked) where the average was over 100 (including only
completed matches and those where at least 750 runs were scored). The
highest (and second highest in all FC matches) was 180.50 for Derbys
(180/0d & forfeit) vs Northants (forfeit & 181/2) at Northampton in 1992.

It depends exactly what you mean. It is the CC match with the highest
2nd-highest score, but there is one where the total of the two highest
scores is more: Brian Lara 501* and John Morris 204.

There have been two others where two players have made 275+:

Andy Sandham 282* (retired ill when Surrey still had 5 wickets in hand),
Frank Watson 300*, Old Trafford 1928. Ernest Tyldesley also made 187*
for Lancs.

Wally Hammond 302, Emrys Davies 287*, Glam v Gloucs, Newport 1939.
