At this time of year it's probably a solitary queen and it's
building a nest in your speaker. I would expect it to come out and forage

By and large most beebumbles are not aggressive, however.....

in defence of nest they may well sting. Their stings do not have barbs
so they can sting over and over again.

The pain of the sting is said to mask the pain of arthritic joints. I
did say 'is said to' so no guarantee.

When I was young, people with arthritis would strip and roll in the
spring nettles. That was before Oxycontin prescriptions and opium, of

I prefer ethanol in one of its forms - no immediate pain from that, and
none later either if it's pure enough.
