Very sad, you spend your life doing what most people think is very
dangerous (rally driving etc) then get killed fooling around on a snow
mobile.
The moral of the story is stay away from snow, just ask Michael Schumacher.

I don't think that his videos entailed a lot of risk, they were
obviously carefully staged to look far more dangerous than they were.

Snowmobiling is fun, the nearest thing to it is riding a jet ski, I've
only ridden them on trails at relatively low speed, but some of the guys
that I worked with had machines that would do 160 km/hr, usually on
frozen lakes or rivers. The danger is, if you ride cross country, you
don't know what is under the snow. It seems that he was on a steep
down-slope, and all it would take is a sharp depression or a log under
the snow for this result.
