2TB failing Samsung SSD. It has 831 GB of data on it.

Will I be able to setup a new 1TB SSD with this amount of data to
transfer?

1TB (decimal, as per seller marketing) is 930GB (base 2, everyone else).

May be problems if all the files on it are very tiny and actually use
more space than 930gig. If your free space on the 2TB is over 930gig you
should be okay though.
