....saw a wheel a-turning, way in the miggle of the screen.

For a couple of days now if I select 'Inbox' I get the 'Wait a minute
I'm getting there' spinning wheel beside the pointer.

But it doesn't get there.

I don't get a lot of emus, so can't tell whether service is interrupted.

Thunderbum under Mint. All up-to-date according to systray.

Anyideas why/wot's wrong?

I find that arjre TB versions have a slight dislike for the plusnet

When that happens to me I send a couple of e-mails to myself with
receipt notifications turned on using another account. If one or both
works, then the headers will tell the tale of how they got there. The
failure messages also have useful info in the headers and body.

I did have problems with BT Inertnet not speaking to anyone a while ago,
and after elevating it to about level 3 in their heirarchy, someone
remembered a similar fault a while before, and it got sorted in seconds.

Virgin meja goes on and orft like that. Not often enough for SWMBO to get
uster it, so every few days there's a little wail (not whale) "my computer's
broken". After a while I wander over and have a look and it's working fine.
In SWMBO's mind it's my "having a look" that fixes it, so rinse and repeat
every time our router looses connectivity for a few minutes.

I think even older tbirds still work.
Does it not time out and show the error somewhere?
What about other internet services? If its just mail I guess you can start
with a ping and a look if anything at the server end has changed like two
factor or maybe the encryption used is now different. Brian

Plusnet has put a sticking plaster on it. Generally, I only get those
prombles when I put the box to sleep too many times - like for several
of days. Anyway Thunderguts has delivered an emu from an outfit flogging
subsidised heat-exchangers. They want to tamper with my central heating
flfgra. I have argf for them - I don't have, nor do I want central
heating.

I often have problems after putting this flatpot to sleep or hibernating
it, mainly with the touchpad.

Now I have fitted and SSD, it's as quick to recover from hibernation as
from dead (Fast start disabled). I get round the resume from sleep
problem by turning it off every time. Admittedly, I am running Windoze...

Running a 64-bit Linux distro here, but if I put the foldything to sleep
(or if *I* go to sleep too often the battery doesn't like being
overcharged or something, and the display doesn't. The only way I can
get it to let a picture on the screen is to hold the 'on' pad down until
everything inside stops and the flickery lights go out, then remove the
batri for a few of minuets, replace it, and then it all jbexeth normanly.

I never hfr the touched pad. It's disabled so it can't interfere with
jbex in progress.
