My son having decided we didn't do enough together decided to treat me
with a visit to some cultural sites.

We went to "Falkland palace" and the V&A museum in Dundee.

We got into Falkland palace for free, as he is an NTS (National trust
Scotland) member and I was his carer however if we had been Joe Soap it
would have cost us 2X £13 the gardens were nice enough (I am not a
garden hand but son is, working in a plant nursery [well he calls it his
work it is more of a volunteer/training placement]).
Palace itself consisted of TWO rooms in a tower .
Would have been very upset if we had paid full price.

The V&A museum was a complete let down, a very big building with very
little in it and what there was was very meh. I understand some people
are 'into' fashion but an entire display devoted to one fashion designer
left us cold. Son was disappointed too driving all that way on his
recommendation just to hum and haw as we wondered around looking for
something interesting to us .

The V&A in Lunnon is really for fans of fashion and
interior design, my wife 1.0 liked it but she was an
architect.

I haven't popped into the Dundee V&A yet, although it is
down the road from me. Drove past it today on my way to the
monster Tesco. But it doesn't sound too inviting.

It is very impressive from the outside, but the inside is VERY
disappointing .
