Porter ran away from suing the ABC in Court after knowing what was in
their defence and now wants it never to see the light of day. Why?
If I remember correctly a truth and public interest defence was being
run by the media. If it is the 'truth?' and in the public interest the
suppression order should be lifted

if the ABC offered to settle for say 100k, and he refused, but won the
case, his payout may not have exceeded the 100k awarded by the beak, and
in the meanwhile his expenses would have gone through the roof.

Legal carrion never lose, either way.

That he withdrew the action and at all stages has tried to suppress the
media's defence being seen by the masses. First in the Court and now
