The Netherlands own official data regarding the cycling fatality rate per
distance travelled doesn’t support that claim.

In fact they are bettered by quite a long way by Belgium, Sweden, Germany,
Denmark, and Norway.

Norway, to use the modern vernacular, is twice as safe as the Netherlands.
