Bing on my own I buy fresh food and divide it into meals for freezing,
e.g. 2 lamb chops and a sausage for a mixed grill.

One item that is difficult to cater for is sausages, wrapping them
individually in foil is a pain. Has anybody come across a food container
with indents/compartments that fresh sausages can be put in for freezing?
A search for "sausage container" can be quite educational :-)

I just freeze them indivually, and then once frozen put them all in a
freezer bag.

We always put sausages in small freezer bags (from Sainsburys: "Tie
handle freezer bags", size S).
They keep OK like that. Being in a plastic bag, they can be defrosted in
the microwave just before cooking them.

There's a big variation in size of freezer bags so I've ordered some
appropriate to my sausage size!

We freeze them and bacon, by using plastic bags, but not the usual
way..

We open the bacon pack up, take the slices out, then put them back in
in twos, zig-zaging the plastic bag between every two slices. That
makes it easy to take a couple of slices out. Likewise with sausages,
plastic bag zig-zaged, between them - then once frozen, move them into
a container without need for the plastic bag to keep them separate.
