I've been using EE for years for my mobile, and had a good monthly sim only
PAYG deal going for a tenner a month.
But Plusnet offered a better deal for nearly half the price as a BB customer.
And still on the EE network, which I have no problem with.
So I went for it, placed the order and gave them the PAC code at the same
time.
The new sim arrived this afternoon at almost the same time as EE cut me off.
I inserted the sim in the phone and it almost immediately connected with my
ported number. Downtime? What downtime?
Colour me impressed.

Colour, what colour?

I have the same deal via Plusnet, had you spoken to EE and negotiated,
you could have got them down on price to more than match Plusnet. My
Plusnet mobile, is a special deal I negotiated with them much less than
they offer on the website. Unlimited calls and texts, plus 4Gb...

It proved cheaper than having the included anytime calls on my
landline, so I cancelled anytime on the landline and just use my mobile
for outgoing calls.

Perhaps.

You can get unlimited calls and texts everywhere these days.
6 quid a month / 6GB data. Monthly contract so I'm free to move it without
penalty any time.

Yes, there are some fantastic deals around. I have unlimited/unlimited/12
GB from ID for £8 a month, does make me question the need for a landline.
