Some may have heard it before but it has passed me by since first airing in
1988.

A short programme about the drive for speed between the LNER and LMS on
their routes to the North and how Stanier and Gresley responded to the
challenge.

Caught it this 0230 this morning under on Radio Four Extra under the Title
“Anything You Can Do”.
Easily found on the BBC sounds app.

Its age means you hear witnesses that were there rather than the modern
phenomena of having
some unheard of historians airing knowledge from a script with lots of
padding.

Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute.
