GWR has been giving Nectar points for online ticket sales for the last few years - only equivalent to about 1% discount but still better than the others - as far as I know.

So are all the train companies now charging the same? As far as I can tell they have almost equally user-hostile web-sites, but that's partly because the British ticket-buying process involves so many options.

Nectar has been on life support for at least a decade.

A good user interface can cope with most of the options. The sites
which are a nightmare are those which gratuitously hide options
from the customer.

Chiltern gives 3.5% Quidco:
https://www.quidco.com/chiltern-railways/
(for all UK tickets, or just Chiltern ones?)

Raileasy gives 2% Topcashback:
https://www.topcashback.co.uk/raileasy/
(the amount may differ for you)
Booking fee of £1.50, so it only really works if your transaction is more
than £75.

Caledonian Sleeper/Quidco 1.6%
TfW/Quidco 0.8%
Railcards (Q and TCB) 3%

A few other deals for 'new customers':
Trainline/TCB 5% (0.5% existing)
Scotrail/Quidco 4%

A pity.

I'm an extremely loyal person - that's why I have such a large collection of loyalty cards.

I used to have many "Store Cards", some just gave discounts, some also
credit, and two or three admittance to an otherwise "trade only" store.

Pretty much down to just Tesco now. Some online shops have an equivalent
if you register with them (eg Amazon Prime), but that's not a bit of
plastic.
