I lived in Briz for six years and never heard anyone use any of these terms. Likewise "Blue", "Cobber" and "How ya goin". Australians I knew would roll their eyes at TV shows where everyone's "Mate" or a Flamin' Galah.

I heard someone use "cobber" in a Melbourne pub once in the 90s. I
remembered because it seemed so weird to hear that cliche.
