A while back during an interview about some or other series an England
player said they were there to win and nobody would stop them.
They were beaten and I remember thinking they shouldn't make
statements like that before a series.

They done it again. Last week another (or maybe the same one) said
something similar about goin to win..
I just saw the score; beaten again.

Isn't it time they just think it and shut up about it.

Is this the Under-19 side? I don't think the full England side were
playing today. I suppose it's natural for teenagers to be
over-confident, and better that than too timid.

In their semi-final of the U-19 T20 World Cup they managed to beat
Australia even though they made only 99. Unfortunately when they only
scored 68 in the final against India there could be no escape.

i think the meja training tells them to be relentlessly positive,
plus if the meja numpty says whos gonna win, you cant appear
unsure etc..

i havnt seen any of these matches but i was surprised that the likes
of rwanda and indonesia had made it to the u19 WC, seeing that
neither of them were historically part of the BE or CW, so its
quite an achievment to for these to have women and girls sides
when you think afghan women arnt even allowed to play.
