Get emus from a firm. They're in html.

Usual ploy: open, copy code into a text document, name doc with .html
extension, view in Firefox.

Result with this load of garbage (many of pages to read three lines of
text) is just a load of html, xml, css and Godknoswhat, amongst it the
message which ICBA to comb the rubbish for.

whatever *that* is

I passed by a box which gave me the option to open it in Thunderbird
Mail and now I can't conjure the option again.

Suggestions for opening these osddnig things pretty please?

Oh glod that's not a pretty sight. PHP is a language originally
designed as a souped up templating language for server side HTML
generation. Then it grew some, and gruesome more gruesome. PHPMailer is a
mail generating tool for PHP. ISTR (it's been a mercifully long time) it
being good (if that's the worm) at generating HTML emails with internal
references to other attachments in the emule.

The result is fiddly to render in anything other than an HTML aware
mail client <boo hiss> - saving all the attachments into the same directory
and keeping the filenames as specified in the MIME headers usually jbexes.

(here) three choices,

Yes, I prefer plain text emus, but even I don't refuse to read html emus

Yes there are quite a few of those, luckily they seem to be mostly used by
spammers and newsletters, so if it has a response address I tell them to bog
off with their non standard crapmail then block the domain.

I got my council to get their press releases fixed as they were not sending
the plain text version, just a blank, then later on they left an old message
in the text part but a new one in html, so when you did cut and paste you
got the old message not the current one. All of these show they do not know
how to configure their internal email clients properly in the first place.

Usually, one can ignore the markup, but it was pagesandpagesandpages.

I asked sender to resend in plain text and she did. It *was* something I
wanted, but the actual text was one and a half lines.
