England's scoring rate in the Test was

First innings
58.2 Ov (RR: 5.57, 294 Mins)

Second innings 374
73.5 Ov (RR: 5.06, 339 Mins)

I wonder if that rate of scoring sustained throughout a Test is a record

England's second innings of 374 has a highest score of 57 (Root) with 9 of the dismissed players getting into double figures .

It can't be far off.

I wondered if it was the highest Test innings in which no one reached
60. Rather an esoteric statistic, I know.

It can. The highest match scoring rate was 6.73 per over.

Even so, 5.29 is the third highest.

6.73 Eng v Pak, Rawalpindi 2022-3
5.41 Eng v NZ, Headingley 2022
5.29 Eng v NZ, Mt Maunganui, 2022-3

It's not. WI got 386 against Aus at Port of Spain in 1964-5, and Pak
got 380 at The Oval in 1992.

Cheers,

Mike

The highest scores in those innings were 58 and 59 respectively, so it's
the highest in which no-one reached 58, if you want an even more
esoteric stat. :)
