It's definitely winamp.com

It installs ok but its just like a damaged file when you play something

Ok it is working but so far only on mp3 files but not wav and wav is not
listed as an associated file type?

I think they have released a beta too soon

This came up as a "new update" btw when I opened a wav files to play on it
15mins ago which took me to a 404 on winamp's site but I then went to the
home page amd sure enough version 5.9 was available.

It does now I reinstalled it today on advice from winamp support and it
works so I have no clue what went on!
