CAF Urbo 3 trams, there's been similiar cracks found in the same type of
trams in Belgrave and Sydney Australia.

The Sydney 12 remain out of service. The operator has reallocated 6
Asltom Citadis 305 cars from the other line to operate a minimum level
of service.
This itself was a major issue as there are different track standards
between the two lines and ALL the points on the line have had
modification to allow the Citadis cars to operate safely. And they had
to get a disability access waiver as the Citadis are slightly narrower
at floor level so the platform gap doesn't comply with current design rules.

There was an engineering opps on the original Sydney Light Rail track
where vertical and horizontal curves are co-incident at one location
instead of being separated by 25m. The original Variotrams were altered
during construction from their original design to make the articulations
more flexible to cope with this. (Documented in a published book about
the history of the local manufacturer).

It would appear the subsequent trams have not been customised to the
infrastructure and relied on the suspension to deal with bend and twist.
This may had put undue stress on the structure. Do wonder if the Citadis
stay on the route weather they would suffer premature failure as well.

The geography of the location were the curves are co-incident means
fixing it is a major civil engineering challenge, and probably the
reason why the specification was ignored the first place.

Do you mean Belgrade?

I loved, by the way how one of the captions stated that the same trams
had problems in Belgrade and Serbia.
