Unfortunately as far as I can see there's no info on when or where the
photo was taken, or even in which publication it originally appeared. So
unless you can get some info from those responsible for the web site,
there seems little hope of finding out anything about it.

It explains why three Rhodesian families moved into our street in the
early 1970s. They're still in the area but they're not cricketers or
even rugby players..

If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you will see that there is a
caption above it, from which it was obvious that it was from the civil
war in Rhodesia. I was quite surprised to find (after a bit of browsing
around the subject) an article on the specific incident though.

I've not read the article. Too dark for me. I assume it just happened to be NEAR a cricket field? And had nothing more to do with cricket than that?
