I was checking out mobile phone plans, and when I looked at the Moose
CIS [https://tinyurl.com/4r6939bz] is says among the exclusions that
VoLTE and VoWiFi capability is excluded. However, I'm with Amaysim at
present and their CIS exclusions [https://tinyurl.com/ywdupesa] make no
mention of it. So is VoLTE and VoWiFi important? and if it's not
mentioned in the exclusions does that mean I have it? can anyone
enlighten me about this please?

VoLTE - Voice over "Long Term Evolution"
VoWiFi - Voice over WiFi

Basically they're ways of making calls that do *not* use the mobile
telephone phone network[1], they use a WiFi or LTE connection, i.e. a
computer "network" connection.

So you can't buy a data-only SIM and use the handset to make calls[2].

Cheers,
Gary B-)

1 - LTE is sort-of just another name for "mobile data", but not calls. Meh.

2 - There are ways around this, but they're not trivial for the
technologically challenged.
