100 off 368 balls.

Sibley just broke the record by 48 minutes and by 42 deliveries, apparently.

Shame I'm missing the denouement of a particularly bizarre game. When the heavens opened on Sunday morning with Surrey 18/2 in reply to Kent's 300, I was looking to put some money on Kent as I imagined the unnatural humidity you get after a thunderstorm early in a day might lead to a bit of movement - and lo Surrey skittled.

Day 3 was lit up by one of the best 100s I've ever seen (barring being dropped at backward point) - Smith will be in an England shirt in the next year I'm sure - he looked head and shoulders better than anyone, correct but aggressive and shots all around the ground. He is an absolutely remarkable talent.

And now Surrey edging towards a silly run chase which I'm guessing is one short of the record between counties?

It would have been a CC record if Jordan Clark had hit a boundary to win
instead of a single.

In a plainly ridiculous match it would have been befitting if he'd belted it out of the ground...

I got back from holiday late last night and - as my smartphone went u/s
halfway through my time abroad - I missed all the excitement of this
match. I also missed Surrey's T20 score of 258 for six - was it -
against Sussex which, if not quite as remarkable, would have been very
satisfying to a Surrey supporter like myself.

I knew that the first Test was about to start and, as I knew the first
Test of a series normally starts on a Thursday, assumed it would be the
same this time. I switched on Sky at 10:25 to get the toss, was glad to
see David Gower back in his old linking role, but was confused that the
programme seemed to be focussed on women's cricket. Eventually the penny
dropped.
