Last night I tried to watch some stuff on this channel to be greeted with
mono sound no AD and the AD channel carrying a carbon copy of the normal
audio slightly time shifted to make the sound like it was coming down a
drainpipe.

Its very annoying though that they cannot manage AD as they still advertise
it but its not there.

I also notice worrying trends in broadcasting where AD is dropping or simply
not there on some series any more when its reshown on another channel or the
use of AD in the program guide when it fact its narrated and does not
actually describe the scene at all, like some of the zoo programs and some
of the emergency ones.

Why Paramount and CBS cannot manage to do AD eludes me, they often have
some good stuff which is known to exist with AD but its not there and
neither is the AD on their adverts, as if the play out system cannot read
the data.

Seriously, the weird sounding sound on More 4 is really strange and the loss
of AD even more strange as one would have thought that even if the feed was
being routed via an alternative route, the whole of the transmission,
including the AD sound and the AD itself would be all encoded in the same
stream so no difference should be noted by a viewer?
