My mouse died!

'Putererer now making friends with a new mouse and welcoming it to 'The
Dell'.

So far so good and squeaky clean.

Had a bit of a moment there when things started jumping about all over
the screen!

Bought my first cordless moose recently.
It works a treat except I keep touching the RH button with my middle
finger undeliberately. :(

For a moment I thought you meant your fancy mouse had gone to that great
chewing bar in the sky.

It is ages since I have had to buy a new pointing device. My tail less
lazer mouse is old now, it needs charging much more often otherwise it
just works.

You have made me look at it carefully. It does need a good clean, there
are years of accumulated dead skin cells and human oil and the buttons
are a bit pitted. The question is, would cleaning it cause it to fail?

Maybe I will leave well alone.

I would not want to be looking for another one. They all seem to be
clonking great rat sized things and I only have little mouse size hands.

My cordless mouse batteries last for ages - about 2 years I'd guess.
Likewise the Kbd.

USB rechargeable is good - but what idiot at Apple put the charging
port on the *bottom* of their 'magic' mouse ?

My LOGI mouse bought from Curry's is about the size of .... a mouse 4" x
2.25"
Had about 12 months, never switched off - not changed battery yet.

I bought a keyboard & mouse 'set' by Logitech, part of the MX range.

The keyboard has a USC-C charging port, the trackmouse has a micro USB
charging port.

Yeah and modern guitar tuners run for ages on a coin cell - I still
ohled ones that recharge, the flatter can usually be counted on to run out
just when it's least convenient to replace it.

Disfortunately this 'ere trackmouse has a built-in rechargeable
flattery. Great until that flattery fails, at which point it becomes
double plus ungood.
