What speed is an average FM? I'd say that was around 80-82 mph - which is pretty much right in Cook's wheelhouse.

The best way to judge bowlers speeds is to watch batsmen (and especially upper order batsmen) playing them. That is what I have done with Cook. He hurries quality batsmen, makes them play in a more deliberate manner. ,.. RH

You're actually claiming that "the best way to judge bowlers speeds" is to first make a judgement on the ability of the batsman, and then a further judgement on the difference in the batter's reaction to the same bowler bowling the same delivery.
There are so many subjective and variable elements involved there that my first impression can only be correct that you just invented that to suit your idea.
If you have a more believable method of determining a bowlers speed you should present it here quickly before you make an even bigger fool of yourself..
