I've been after one of these for years.
One chain length is 22 yards the same as a cricket pitch.
They cost at least £100, and now I got 4 sets for £20.

So now you can check that pitches for matches where you are umpiring are
the correct length. I had expected surveyors' chains to look more
obviously like they are chains.

Batsmen should be thankful that surveyors' chains have traditionally
been 22 yards in length (one-tenth of a furlong) rather than say 20
yards, which would have made facing fast bowling even more challenging
than it already is.

BTW, I'm leaving on holiday in about an hour's time, and won't be around
for the next three weeks.
