That looks nasty and serious. Do you have any more information that you
think he might be prepared to share?

I had been worried that he might have succumbed to COVID or have re-
immigrated or been deported via Botany Bay.

Quick and complete recovery I hope.

Thanks guys -'n'-gals. It actually happened 1st August. I was in Hillingdon for ~ two weeks before being taken to St Mary's for the first craniotomy, followed by a second when there was still bleeding. Then back to Hillingdon until October 18th when I was finally discharged. Only got the OK from Uni to return to work last week, back to normal schedule in January.

lot_ back in the days when I could afford the time to read usenet more (I'm
long retired now, you see, and have found that the longer you're retired, the
less spare time you have :-D )

I've made a spasmodic return to Usenet recently, and one day suddenly realised
that "we never hear owt from Ivan these days". Really good to know he's OK so
thanks to all, including the man himself, who not only sent us that pretty
picture (the vomit on my keyboard is almost all cleaned up by now), but also
the explanation... via uk.rec.motorcycles we hear -- I should go back to
watching that group again: along with sheds, the best entertainment (and
time-wastage) value on Usenet (if not the bloody internet, pound for pound).

Back to my corner in the bar ...
