Anyone know the location of two photos uploaded to
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AkhvgPvXD0_1ot0fTLXns1iISv9AIQ?e=zUSWEw?
I assume that 043c is on the GW mainline before the start of
electrification but don't know where.
Thanks for any input.

Those Royal Mail EMUs didn't run on very many routes. Tempted to say
Peterborough, but the OHL is probably too chunky.

Sonning Cutting, and Wembley on the WCML?

The first is between Reading and Maidenhead, that pipe bridge in the
background is very distinctive. I'm pretty sure it survived
electrification, I'll double check a mileage for you on Wednesday.

The second looks like Crewe Diesel Depot, with the line to Shrewsbury
curving off at the left of the picture? That RES logo high in the air
should certainly be an identifier to those more familiar with locations.

If that is a sharp right-hand curve I am seeing to the left of the
second photograph then I don't think it is Wembley (which is in
Willesden-Actually). Neither Wembley Stadium nor the RM shed are
visible in the background but the weather could be to blame for the
former's absence.

043c is Shottesbrooke Cutting between Twyford and Maidenhead. The girder
bridge in the background is (was?) a landmark - but I don't know if it was
rebuilt or removed at electrification as I can't put my head out of the window
any more... :-(

Getting back to this rather late, the pipeline bridge still exists at 27m
60ch <https://goo.gl/maps/4uuvVuM9GUuvZW3w6>, the picture is taken from
Bottle Lane bridge, and the train is on the Up Relief line.
