The steady high beam will drain the 4 batteries in 2 hours. Wave your hand in front of it and no strobe effect.

I spun an emergency wheel in front of the short flash mode to determine the short flash was on only 0.06 seconds out of a total cycle of 0.7 seconds.

The short flash is actually 4 even shorter flashes, 3 thousands of a second on and 12 thousands of a second off.

Yet the short flash seems to be as bright as the steady beam _ when it is on_.

Guessing wildly there is a circuit that ups the voltage and drain in strobe mode to make it brighter.

This means I probably cannot get 400 hours in short flash mode.

But I rarely ride more than 100 hours in one night so it doesn't matter!

Off by almost a factor of 3.

It should last over 135 hours.
