FsOAK ...

Who would you recommend for hosting of email/website etc.

Currently with hosting uk and until about 2 weeks ago they have been 100%,
then suddenly I was getting no emails & I/they find no (repeat NO) DNS
records at all.

Not them they say, must be you ... not I, I say (and I did not)

They fixed it, but took 3 goes to get it all correct.

Just failed again (about 2 hrs ago I guess) DNS correct - as far as I can
see. (except the DNS entries on the client area are not the same as on
the Plesk control page)

But no mail, and can't send via their/my SMTP swerver

So if they pbpx it up again who would you go to?

I have had problems with Heart Internet and would not recommend them to
anybody.

Mythic Beats have been good (they host one of my domains) and respond well
to emails.

If you know what you want/need (in terms of domain registrar, dns
including spf, web host, mail redirection or mail storage) then
mythicbeasts.

Krystal.uk host most of my stuff - very pro.

Ecohosting have the rest. They are cheaper but also no probs to date...

If you know (or care to learn) how to do it yourself then I'd say
host it yourself either on a machine at home if you have sufficient outgoing
bandwidth or sign up a free account on Oracle's cloud service (which gives
you two CPUs of x86 VPS and four of ARM VPS and 200GB of storage). You can
get free DNS from Hurricane Electric, and free SMTP from Socketlabs (no
connection I just use them - there are other free options). Domain
registration from Joker or Namecheap or ... there's loads of them, not free
but cheap enough.

I'm with pair.com. Mail+web hosting, excellent tech support, but they
don't do DNS.

There are several free DNS options and most domain registrars
provide DNS when you ohl a domain from them.

I use infomaniak. Been very happy with them.
