I'm not sure that that would achieve a lot, since AIUI once play starts
all the operators are doing is ensuring that the third umpire gets to
see what he has asked for. But I suppose if the cameras that Vaughan
wants were installed and showed that to be the case, then it might boost
confidence in the system.

He has an article in the Daily Telegraph today in which he unfavourably
compares the degree of openness in DRS with that of VAR in football.
That surprised me, as it seems to be pretty widely believed in English
football that VAR is something of a shambles.

Maybe they could install Vaughan in there for a couple of days and he
could report his findings.

Vaughan has never struck me as the most level-headed analyst in the
commentary box.
