""Free lateral flow tests are set to be axed as the Government prepares
the country to live with coronavirus without ongoing restrictions.

Boris Johnson is set to announce the measure within weeks, the Sunday
Times reported.

The newspaper reported that the new system could mean that free tests
are only given in high-risk settings such as care homes, hospitals and
schools, and to people with symptoms./""

If obligation to isolate if you're infected remains (for legal or just
to protect family) then all they're doing is passing the cost directly
to the public - who are likely to pay a hell of a lot more than the
government will for the tests.

Makes sense.

Isolation isn't stopping Omicron spread and getting infected won't push deaths much above what the Junta has deemed acceptable.

So what's the point of faffing about with isolation, testing, and all the nonsense and costs which come with that. We simply have to forget all that, end it, get used to taking our chances.

People with hungry tigers surrounding their village don't just hide in their huts, people with enemy snipers at the end of their streets don't just hide in their basements. They get out there, survive, get eaten or shot. That's how it is.

At least anti-vaxxers get what they want. They will no longer have to suffer showing a recent test to live their lives how they choose. They will be free to mingle with the infected, catch it, and die from it. If people want to protect themselves; get vaccinated. It's not the Junta's job to protect people. This isn't some sort of socialist utopia.

As we were reminded yesterday; it's just like Winter Flu, that the plan is it will be with us forever.

We merely have to get used to 200 people dying an avoidable death every day, accept that it won't just be those already nearing end of life who are hacked down by it, that it will kill a whole lot more than Winter Flu ever has, that those who won't or can't be vaccinated will inevitably fall victim to it, or have to hide away forever; it's their choice.

Once Johnson convinces us cancer, heart disease and other ailments are just like Winter Flu, has us accepting the avoidable deaths there, he can save a fortune in not screening and not caring about those as well. That will probably have to wait until he's re-elected, when he is given that mandate.

"Living with covid" - It makes a lot of sense.
