matter what it is, and how justified it is with communism.

That fact remains that the political left is very diverse and a
significant portion of it is not even Marxist. And even those who
approach the ever more serious problems plaguing contemporary capitalism
using the Marxian analytical method aren't all communists.
Among them there are mild capitalist social democrats, democratic
socialists, socialists and yes, also communists but even a tiny percent
of far left anarchists.

Furthermore, equating the firsts botched attempts at establishing
socialists states in the 20th Century (and completely misrepresenting
why these attempts failed) with what socialist/communist ideologies
actually are all about at the social and economic level is just an
intentional propaganda technique of the extremist far-right. And that
gives away where your actually political allegiance.

Also, given where European countries stood politically just after the
first World War when those attempts to establish socialist societies
were made, I'd say, they have actually achieved a lot more and a lot
faster for the actual working class in both rural-agricultural and
urban-industrial settings.
Let us not forget where Eastern-Europe was between the World Wars
socially, culturally and economically. Do not pretend that they were
already well established industrial democracies with abundant moderately
wealthy middle class and a well educated population.

Those countries were festering semi feudal illiterate robber baron style
capitalist shitholes (with rampant child labor, total inhumane
exploitation of working people, semi feudal ownership of all the
productive lands, almost no electrification of waste portions of the
countries, pathetic already well outdated industrial and agricultural
production technologies, almost non existent lower middle classes, etc)
lagging far behind in development stage of the USA and Western Europe.
When Lenin took hold of Russia from the hands of the Mensheviks there
weren't any oligarchs around among the ranks of the the communists
leading their revolution. Not even under Stalin (who had at later stage
became a personal cult megalomaniac dictator of a brutal state
capitalist apparatus) were there any real "oligarchs" class in Russia.
Yes, the country was not anywhere near a democracy, most people were not
wealthy in the West European sense, but they have been brought into the
twentieth century, some of them kicking and screaming, with more
advanced idustrialisation, better literacy and general education, at all
stages free education and dirt cheep access to mass transportation,
health care, housing, recreational facilities and cultural institutes.
Of course, the nasty downside to all these advances was a top down
command economy and abuse of some fundamental human and civil rights by
the dictatorial state apparatus. All in all, it was not anywhere near
what socialism (let alone communism) should have become. But it had not
remained the horrible capitalist backwaters it used to be like before
the revolution. It is absolutely necessary to retain painstaking
objectivity about history...politically motivated revisionism will not
serve any coming generations well.
