Downing Street has apologised to Buckingham Palace for two staff parties in No 10 the night before Prince Philip's funeral.

It's always half apologies, no actual apologies for rule breaking, breaking the law. Just regret at their timing and how that rule breaking may look to others.

There is never any contrition from Johnson or his Junta. They simply don't see anything wrong in what they do.

People were being fined £10,000 for organising parties smaller than those at Downing Street. It really is one law for them, another for everyone else.
