Tuesday 17th August, 2021
- Service: 10am, All Saints Church, High St, Carshalton, SM5 3AG
- Burial: 11am, Sutton Cemetary, SM3 9PX
- Wake: 12 til 5pm, The Grange, Beddington Park, SM6 7BT

Or is there a family request to follow the funeral cortege from house to
service? Happy to if that's what the family wants but wouldn't want to
turn their family funeral into an "event".

That's a very important point.

I have been to funerals where the trade union/railway have taken their
loved one away (again) by making it about the union/railway and not the
family that's just lost a loved member (of the family).

....on that note best piece of advice I've received on eulogies (I've
had to do a few) is make it about the deceased, not you. A
surprisingly simple trap to fall into.

"The deceased was fortunate to have met me, indeed I remember an
incident when I..."

Indeed. If Anne has specifically requested that bikes line up to follow
the hearse then I'll do so but unless that's the case I'll just quietly
arrive at the church etc
