Good morning from Somerset.
37F and 1016mb. It was very frosty first thing but it was sunny too, so
the frost has now almost completely gone, and unfortunately so has the
sunshine because it has completely clouded over. The forecast is for
rain by lunchtime.

Best wishes to everybody,

Jim

Mornin' from a dry and bright but bitterly cold day here in South
Yorkshire. No BYT as yet but he's just below the southern side of the
valley and ready to peep over the horizon any time soon. Temperature
out there is 1.0C (33.8F) but feeling more like -3C (26.6F) with the
wind chill. Barometric pressure is falling again, from an overnight peak
of 1019.4 mB to 1012.4 mB now with RH showing as 67%. Forecast is for
the chance of rain/snow anytime after midday, to total around 3.5 mm
for the day. Also the temperature will slowly rise to peak at around 5C
(41.0F) in the early evening. Not much sun forecast for the rest of
today either. Have a great day but take care and stay safe.
Just been checking on the covid-19 restriction changes for later
and, although not disclosed I reckon that this, supposedly unchanged
plan B, amounts to us chasing reaching herd immunity as quickly as
possible. Sort of, they've all got it out there, so we're all gonna
get it in here, so bring it on, the sooner the better. Or, let's hope
we lemmings, with fingers tightly crossed, will see the oncoming cliff
edge in time.
Sootie has decided that today has to be cancelled before venturing
out. She breakfasted about 09:00, took one look outside, shivered,
and went straight back upstairs to her bedroom and onto her bed. No
Tabby either, but she did eat all her supper at midnight.

It was -3.7c earlier this morning here in Essex, but the sun has come up
now.

So much for the "frozen North" :-\
