My phone doesn't do QR codes either. I figure I could download the App
from Google, or wherever, but that would require me setting up an
account ... and why should I have to do that when I should be able to
get the Doc straight from the mygov site??

Have fun setting up the myGov a/c with the need for MyGovID. The bloke I
got onto to get a physical copy of my immunisation record also worked on
the MyGovID helpline and even he admitted it was a dog of a program,
might of just being nice to this old codger. I'm not a tech-head but can
set up all the other stuff on my phone including RFS stuff that needs
some fairly strong ID info but gave up on MyGovID.

The MyGovID is needed for accessing the tax dept, as a record for
one's health info (accessing hospitals & clinics), forwarding GST data
(for businesses) and soon for many other items. No doubt it will
eliminate the need for filling out reams of paper forms getting into
hospitals and dentists. No doubt it will be linked in the near
future for ID biometrics.

I'm really pissed off that two same-number identical phones can't be
provided for backup. And one for home & one for work.

premises you will be texted to do a covid test.

dodgy, often not working.

downloaded to you, They are only good if the pub/wherever has a Q-Code

days and it is easier than getting them to do it or filling in a paper copy

No thanks the one I've got is fine with it's ALDI sim, the only app I've
ever had a problem setting up is the myGovID. Getting my paper copy,
with or without hologram, soon (hopefully).
I'll use it as proof of it so I can get into those places that demand
proof of vaccination. OK I believe that this is discriminatory and won't
work if they let kids who aren't vaccinated in and knowing the
vaccinated people can spread the disease.
As a health measure it is useless but may work to encourage people to
get vaccinated

How if according to you non vaccinated kids will be exempt and you can
still get infected and pass on the Sydney sniffle when vaccinated it
will it not lead to more spread. Pick it up in the venue and spread the
joy at home.

My Op
"I am fully vaccinated and totally support vaccination and the current
restrictions. On the other hand I am totally opposed to the mandating of
vaccination for workplaces (with some exceptions) and the mandating of
vaccination to enter businesses as it is discrimination against those
who can't get vaccinated for medical reasons or who won't for religious,
crazed personal beliefs etc.
I know the 'slippery slope' argument is considered by some as a logical
fallacy, I don't considering history, but this is this legal
discrimination. There are lots of deadly communicable diseases in our
society that can be prevented by vaccination and vaccination against
these are not mandated for employment or to enter premises, why should
COVID be any different.
BTW totally different from the vaccination requirements to travel
overseas. "

I use Amaysim which use OPTUS years ago Optus were the only reliable
service at my house, never bothered changing for $8 every 28 days I
get Mobile and 2gb of data, which they sofar top up to ten every month
free.
Sofar fast and reliable even on the train while moving to/from city.

If just masked kids it reduces chance almost to zero, but if a kid or
adult is in the premises you were in at same time, you will be
contacted to be tested,
