I have been recording a TV series on Thursday at 9 p.m. from memory but
scanning new channels seems to have removed it.

No idea what channel but it was Freeview and it was about people who had
been modified in some way to make them super-human and they were beginning
to wake or awaken.

It wasn't brill, only made one series, but I'd like to see the last few
episodes. Does it ring any bells with anybody?

Sorry I meant to come back on this.

Thank you for the replies :-)

None ring a bell, I have a name like "Lodestar" in mind but don't know if
it's meaningful. It was definitely a Freeview channel but there are
hundreds and I can't remember which it was. In the old days it was 1,2 or
3 and the name would bear some relationship to the program but that hasn't
been true for a long time now!

I didn't watch it but I do remember seeing the trailers. At one point
two guys sitting next to each other at desks and one says something
about people in deep sleep or something like that and the other says
'yes, and someone is waking them up.'

Could it have been Treadstone on Five?

I have a Youview box, so I looked through the programme guide for
yesterday at 9pm.

Two possibles of Series 1 with episodes showed up.
Channel 5 had "Deadline" (Series 1 Episode 3)
CBS Drama had "Medium" (Series 1 Episode 13)

If it wasn't either of them then whatever you were looking for wasn't
broadcast yesterday.

Ah, so it wasn't the programme that I listed (I forget what that was now!).
