Way more exciting than your self aggrandising lies and bullshit claims
Darren, inveterate bullshit artist that you are!

Speaking of Bathurst, I was there last Thursday, and at Mt Panorama too.
Didn't see the electric van in action, but lots of prep happening for
the weekend races. Turns out the Events Manager of Bathurst Regional
Council is a relative. ;-) Discovered that at a huge family reunion in
Dubbo on the previous Saturday.

A good marketing ploy for Ford, its resemblance to a van is minimal at best.
What would be more meaningful would be to make an electric van that can
actually work all day on a single charge and not weigh much more than a
similar ICE van.

It might be exiting to drive for a couple of laps till the battery went
flat, you might even be able to carry your lunch box in the back so you
have something to eat and drink whilst waiting for hours for the battery
to charge:-)

It kinda reminded me of that Ford Windsor powered "Supervan" Transit van
in the UK years ago.

This is it here:

Apparently it was a promotional build to help bolster the sales of
Transits in the UK, but I don't think it worked. It might have if
Tansits were available with a Weslake headed 302 Windsor rather than
that cunt of a V4 engine they had :)

Transit vans have always sold in decent numbers in the UK so why they
though they needed to make the V8 Transit as a marketing tool is a
mystery, tradies over there seem to use vans rather than utes.
The V4 was always a woeful engine lacking in power and unreliable,
probably why Ford Australia fitted the Falcon straight 6, still not
without its problems but it at least had some power.
