I have noticed that recently while watching this I've heard single clicks,
moor on the left channel in all sorts of subject matter, so must be being
generated somewhere when the content is played. Anyone else seen or heard
this?

Also on the audio description on some programmes, such as inside the
Ambulance, the first syllable gets knocked off. This sounds to me like that
bug in realtech audio drivers that does this as it wakes up the audio
hardware a little too slowly. I don't know what they use for AD, but the
effect is so similar it is uncanny.
Normally the way around this is a dummy player that puts out silence to
keep the hardware alive.
