I may have cheesed off my new surgery (only been registered 3 weeks).

My rash is getting worse,I have used up all the potions I was prescribed
and the earliest appointment I can get is a 'phone appointment in three
weeks.

I called NHS 111 this morning and went through the whole saga. Upshot was
she sent a note to my surgery saying a member of the clinical staff MUST
contact me within 24 hours, I was then instructed to call the surgery and
advise them (NHS 111 also sent an email).

I called the surgery, worked my way down from number 7 in the queue and
got through to reception. I explained the situation whereupon the
atmosphere turned somewhat frosty and I was told a doctor would call me
this morning.

A doctor did, not the one I saw in January nor the skin specialist I will
see in March but a lady with an Indian accent who spoke at 300 mph while
telling me the names of the medicine she would prescribe. At the end she
said she thought both the original doctor and the skin doctor were seeing
me in a joint appointment on 8 March. I said I thought it was a 'phone
appointment and she said "you will need to check" but the skin specialist
would only prescribe what she herself was prescribing.

Oh dear, must make sure she's never booked to give me an injection.

I've just checked on line and the first appointment I can book on line
is on Monday 14th March, but fortunately if I could contact the surgery
between 08:30 and 09:00 tomorrow I'd be able to get a telephone
appointment for tomorrow. But getting through to them by phone is nigh
impossible, just like winning the lottery.

She has had her revenge. I went to the Cranborne dispensary who told me
the prescription was at the Verwood pharmacy. When I got to Verwood they
only had one of three items and the instructions say "Take one tablet once
or two a day."

I did manage to get the appointment switched to face-to-face but it's
still three weeks away.
